This Report has been read in this Depor.
heee with interest, and it seems
clear that with the restrictions
imposed by limitation of staff, the
Department is doing excellent work.
I note in particular that further
progress has been made with
reafforestation. The old system of
On the Firestry side
forest lot planting obviously left
much
a good deal to be desired, and I
agree with the conclusion in
paragraph 14 of the Report that
it was time that this scheme was
replaced by something more
satisfactory Mature.
